the wind blows heavy crashing wind chimes and whistling nature’s songs, sometimes their secrets
the trees sway in unison
a distant train trails away
my rose bush loses a petal or two
all in good sacrifice for something new
the swings swing back and forth and the metals screech as they graze into each other
my dog gently slumbers into the good night
as i prepare myself for another sleepless one
it’s all too familiar now
maybe tomorrow i’ll change it up
