WELL HELLO THERE
Wow, it has been a minute. The past few months have been busy…so amazing, so full of growth, so full of new-ness. New is good. New experiences, new people, new perspectives, new environments. I love delving past what I know, I love digging deep, I love exploring over uncharted territories whether it’s in a mental or a physical capacity. I recently took a strengths finder test, and holy shit it is amazing knowing what your strengths are-where you excel the most. Also, holy shit, it is so on point. We spend a lot of time focusing on our negatives (seems to be the default setting in our brains), we rarely take time to assess our strengths and the strengths of those around us. Each personality you come across (including your own) is so unique therefore has different capabilities as well as a different style of communication, collaboration, interpretations, etc. When you become aware of your own and those around you it makes relationships with your friends, family, and colleagues SO much more productive. It really helps you function at your maximum and highest level. Rather than focusing on what you can’t change or what you don’t like, you can start investing your time fine-tuning your strong qualities. I highly recommend looking more into behavioral studies and strengths finder tests. The book my manager got for me was this, and another awesome free option is this.
I feel so happy right now. I feel like everything is exactly how it’s supposed to be at this moment. I feel light like a feather (cheesy, but fuck it), I feel compassionate and empathetic. I feel really good, and I want to share this feeling by making others feel good. I want to assist everyone around me and even those not around me to be the best possible version of themselves.
I strive to surround myself around people that are smarter than me so I can continue to learn a range of different things from an array of all sorts of folks. I’m always open to trying something new and taking in as much as possible. After all, we are students of life. 😉
It’s true what they say, after a storm comes the calm. I truly believe our dark times are our most creative and transformative. They shape us in the most pivotal ways. They create the foundational base of our individual existences. Though these dark times cause friction in our lives, you have to remember that nothing lasts for long, change is constant. And in the meantime, I got your back, promise.
I am so attracted to intelligence, a high EQ, the ability to laugh at yourself and a quick wit. I find all of those qualities so charming. I connect immediately with the people that inherit and exude all of those energies. We are usually attracted to people based on the energy they radiate. When they have a similar energetic vibe as we have, they feel familiar and comfortable to us. When their vibe is a match for the kind of energy we would like to have more of, we want to be in their presence. Sometimes it doesn’t make any sense (and it doesn’t have to), but, this allows us to learn, grow, change, and manifest new results in our life.
“Whatever happens around you, don’t take it personally. Nothing other people do is because of you. It is because of themselves. All people live in their own dream, in their own mind; they are in a completely different world from the one we live in. When we take something personally, we make the assumption that they know what is in our world, and we try to impose our world on their world.” – unknown
I’ve pretty much dedicated myself to living presently and mindfully in the moment. So, it hasn’t allowed much time for me to sit down and write. Which I miss doing, but don’t feel the immediate need to do for some reason right now. I don’t feel like documenting every single thought or feeling. I want to just live in it. We need different things during the various phases of our lives. A big part is getting so in tune with yourself to understand what it is you need right now. I believe deep down, you know what it is, go with your intuition. I think that’s all for now…thank you for being here.
“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.” – Charles Darwin
