desert rose

In the shadows of my mind, you’ll find my depth

In the quietness of the night, you’ll find my soul

In moody weather, you’ll find me

I’ve been dying for something real

Perhaps I am crazy, I am wild

I am the bluest part of a flame

And so, I often burn myself

You told me to take it off and I gave in to you silently

I gave loyally, prepared for you to take every inch of me

You are a brilliant pianist

I am a writer

I observe you

I am mesmerized

I wanted miracles from a desert that could never grow me a rose
